UBC – University Transfer through 涩里番

Thinking about getting admitted to the , one of Canada’s leading institutions? You’re in the right place!

This blog is especially for students who may not currently meet UBC鈥檚 direct entry requirements鈥攚hether you’re graduating from Grade 12 with non-competitive grades, missing specific prerequisite courses, missing English proficiency, or are a mature student over 19 who hasn鈥檛 completed high school.

We’ll walk you through how the University Transfer Program can be your pathway to UBC.

College to University Transfer Stories

Over the past five years, nearly 30% of all students, and 40% of international students, pursuing a bachelors in British Columbia have gained admission to Canadian universities through a transfer program.

How Does UBC University Transfer Work?

Transferring to university through a university transfer program may sound complex and unachievable, but I assure you it鈥檚 not!

There are only two key things to keep in mind: the BC Transfer Guide system, and the fact that most universities in BC including UBC accept at least 24 transferable credits from other recognized institutions for most of their bachelor鈥檚 programs.

Let鈥檚 look at an example: transferring into UBC鈥檚 Bachelor of Arts: Psychology.

The table above shows which courses taken at 涩里番 will transfer to UBC鈥檚 Bachelor of Arts: Psychology program. To be eligible to transfer to UBC, a student must complete a minimum of 24 credits, as shown in the table above.
