Governance

Board of Governors

ɬÀï·¬ is headed by a board of experienced BC citizens with an interest in post-secondary education.

The ɬÀï·¬ Board of Governors is the chief governing body of the College. The board sets strategic direction and governance policy and ensures the College carries out its mission. Responsibility for governing the College is assigned to the board by the owners of the College. Responsibility for day-to-day operations of the College is assigned to the president who reports regularly to the board.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee serves as the primary leadership team of the College on a day-to-day basis by monitoring resource management on behalf of the board, ensuring effective and efficient operations, and providing strategic direction across the institution. Overall, the Executive Committee supports the president in the effective management of the College.

In addition to the president, the Executive Committee consists of the provost, vice-president academic, vice-president of operations, and vice-president of institutional research. Auxiliary members or participants may be invited to share information and expertise at meetings.

ɬÀ﷬’s Education Committee (EdCom) fulfills the role of an academic council as defined by the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills Quality Assessment Process and Criteria (September 2024). This committee is responsible for academic policies and standards, and for ensuring the academic integrity of programs.

The Education Committee consists of 16 members who represent a broad cross-section of institutional stakeholders, including administration, faculty, staff, and students. The committee secretary is Zainab Oyeniran (z.oyeniran@alexandercollege.ca).
